Subsidy Scheme Details

Li Ka Shing Foundation fully supports the provision of funding to help patients with financial difficulties in accessing urinary stone surgery. This scheme aims to facilitate timely treatment, alleviating patients’ physical and mental stress caused by their health condition.

Provision of the following subsidies to each approved applicant: 

• Li Ka Shing Foundation subsidises HK$ 10,000
• CUHK Medical Centre subsidises HK$ 10,000

* The subsidies will be directly used to offset doctor's fees and surgical expenses.
* The initial consultation fee and all expenses exceeding the subsidies will be borne by the patient.

 Eligibility
- Hong Kong residents who are on waiting list for 'Ureteroscopic Lithotripsy Surgery' or 'Extracorporeal Shockwave Lithotripsy' at public hospitals prior to submitting the application; or have a referral letter or follow-up document issued by the Hospital Authority
- The total average monthly household income is less than HK$ 80,000 in the past year
- Applicants who are employed or are the primary income source of the household will be given priority consideration
